Heirloom rose workshop
Los Angeles, CA
Sat Feb 16 & Sun Feb 17, 2019, 10am - 5pm
Early Bird Special $800 (through January 25, 2019)
LIMIT: 8 people
I am so excited to bring you this heirloom rose class! In order to get the most realistic, fully blown rose, I have developed my own technique (you won’t have seen this before!) that allows even someone relatively new to sugar flowers to get amazing results. This a time consuming flower but it’s worth it - it’s big enough that it could adorn a 6” tier with little else.
In this two day class, we will make our own gum paste (the only way to go for truly thin, realistic petals), a full-blown rose, rosebuds, and leaves.
You will learn special veining and coloring techniques to create the most life-like petals, plus aging techniques that will add a new level of realism and dynamic quality to your sugar work.
We will share lunch on the patio each day, where we will have time to chat about your own cake design, and you help problem solve while we take a well-deserved break in the LA sunshine - SO BRING PICTURES AND/OR QUESTIONS!
Tuition is $1000
All supplies and materials provided for in-class use. Lunch will be served both days.
Note: This is a class for people who have had some work with gum paste. It is NOT a beginner class. Before you pay, I’d like to take a look at your work to make sure this is the right class for you, and then I’ll send you a PayPal invoice.
Cancellation Policy: While we are unable to issue refunds, we will do our best to place you in a future workshop if you need to cancel. We reserve the right to cancel the workshop at any time due to weather emergencies, illness, venue availability, or other circumstances beyond our control. If we cancel the workshop, we will issue you a full tuition refund.
